Edith and Payen Ashley are New York State licensed home inspectors serving St. Lawrence County and the surrounding areas of Northern New York. As a mother-and-son team, we bring a careful, methodical approach to every property we evaluate. Your inspection is performed by one of us, and the standard is the same either way.
We inspect residential properties and stay fully compliant with New York State requirements. From major systems like electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components down to the smaller details, we look at the whole picture so nothing important gets missed.

The Gold Standard in Our Industry
When researching to become home inspectors we knew that the national certification was the most challenging exam to pass. There is a 60% fail rate and is widely regarded as the gold standard in our industry. It has been compared to the bar exam for attorneys.
While most state exams are 50 questions, the national exam is 200 questions drawn from a pool of over 6000 questions. We passed on our first attempt.
